Intro to Unity

Working in Unity has been a great experience so far. Sculpting terrains, adding bodies of water, and making paths on your terrain is awesome. When we first worked on Unity it was kind of a challenge because the way the camera worked was confusing. When ever I tried to zoom in, I would press the wrong button which then lead me to viewing the object at a different point of view. Then when it's at a different point of view the object moves differently, sounds confusing but I'll try to explain it. So if I was moving the object from the left point of view when I tried to move it up, the object went up. Now if I was moving the object from the top point of, if I tried to move the object up it was really just moving side to side. The mechanics of the camera can be really confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, it's really fun to mess around with all the tools. On my terrain I tried to make a volcano using the assets I had and somewhat succeeded in my opinion. First I just made many mountains going around in a circle to try to make the inside of the volcano then I added the fire effect to make it look like it had erupted, and finally I added more little mountains around the terrain. It looked cool except that I couldn't find an effect to make it look like lava is sliding down the volcano, now with that I would have finished my terrain successfully.
