Update the Blog: Imagining your Game

Who are you designing the game for?
I'm designing the game for ages 10 and up, mainly middle school students or higher. Also for anyone out there who wants to learn about deforestation or already knows about it.

What will the game teach the player about your topic?
This game will teach the player a lot of things about deforestation but most importantly why this topic is important  and why we should worry about this. Also it will teach the you what the animals go through when this is happening and how this will soon affect us well actually it already is affecting us.

Where does your game happen?
The entire game is going to be at a forest. The setting is going to be a forest being destroyed and humans putting the wood in the back of some trucks. The setting also includes the plant life (not only trees) that are cut off and animals that's couldn't escape the tree that was being cut down.

How does your game world teach the player about your topic?
The world will teach the player about deforestation by showing the results of deforestation and also what  happens while deforestation takes place. When he sees this he will use what he saw as a heads up on what will be in the first level and what obstacles he might need to overcome. It will also teach him how it is in the real world.

Why is a game a better way of understanding your topic then a quiz?
A game is a better way of learning about deforestation because it's less reading and also your not looking at hard questions. In a game your actually entertaining someone instead of  making them feel bored and also your teaching someone at the same time.
